Bio
Xuemeng Zhang is a photo-based artist whose practice is driven by exploring connections between the mind and the eye. Her work focuses on psychological and social themes such as self-identity, alienation and a sense of belonging, and apprehension and mindfulness. Zhang holds a BA in Psychology and Studio Art from Clark University. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Photography, Video, and Related Media from the School of Visual Arts (2022), where she was awarded the Assistantship Scholarship. Zhang’s work has been exhibited in many group exhibitions in New York and New England.
